Barbara Nichols Mencer is a professional coach and principal of Rainmaker Strategies, a coaching, training and consulting firm, specializing in helping professionals grow their businesses.

Barbara has over 20 years experience working with professionals and professional service firms. She has particular expertise in the areas of:

• Marketing plans
• Client relations
• Public and media relations
• Corporate identity programs
• Web site development.

A former member of the board of directors of the San Diego Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators and the Professional Women’s Roundtable, Barbara is an active member and supporter of the Legal Marketing Association, the Legal/Professional Association Task Force, the Women’s Business Center of California, San Diego Professional Coaches Alliance, Coach University, International Coach Federation, Coachville, and The Pinnacle Group.

Barbara has published articles on business development and authored the booklet, “Business Development: 97 Quick & Easy Tips for Lawyers” as well as the comprehensive legal practice building system, “Making Rain Out of Mist.” In addition, Barbara is a frequent speaker for professional services groups and teaches business development for professionals at the University of California, San Diego Extension.
